Laser Lights - The Lighting of The Future

Laser lights are a new type of lighting for a lot of people. Not many people really know too much about them and when describing laser lighting to people most just think of the hand held little laser pointer they had as a kid. But lasers are so much more than that and are a part of equipment used for top of the line entertainment, trades & even medicine. But constructive & medical uses aside today we’re here to talk about their use in the ever evolving field of the entertainment industry.

DJ Lasers have become extremely popular in entertainment with laser shows seen all around the world. Laser lights have become a thing to expect at concerts, clubs & special events of all kinds. The lasers you see at these events are not your regular old laser pointer but something more. Some may prefer playing around with the concentrated still beam of light that is a laser pointer but in the entertainment industry laser lights are used to wow thousands.

Where a laser pointer may be going in a straight beam unless otherwise moved by the holder, the laser show system is tracing on the wall itself going through a set of pre-programmed patterns drawn by different reflection angles upon a set of motor powered mirrors. The real wonder to it all is though it may look like the laser is split and not a single beam it’s just a single beam moving so fast to the eye it looks like one solid light. The basic of laser lights will go through different basic patterns and shapes but there are also animation style lasers out there able to project complicated laser images and with enough skill and creativity can even animate full stories.

Laser lights can come in all different colors including red, green, blue & purple and blended together can create all the colors in the spectrum of all shades. When using a laser light for entertainment purposes these colors can serve to an extreme advantage and can be used to set the whole environment. As with other lighting, laser lights may be able to set the mood to another extent, with there concentrated and spread out beams lasers are able to take over the room and be the center of attention. For a simple rule of thumb your reds & purples usually represent a darker intimate environment such as an underground rave. Greens & blues for a more club, dance, mainstream environment, though it’s good to experiment with color combination's and change the room around throughout the night.

Whether a mobile DJ, club owner, or just a laser enthusiast laser lights can be. Whether setting them up in your garage or entertaining a crowd lasers can be used to create an experience. Some find nothing can beat a good laser show, some entertainment is strictly lasers alone as the main act, no band or DJ just the lighting and how amazing it truly can be. You don’t need to have a purpose to use the laser lights just have the want to enjoy them. For all the mobile DJ’s and club promoters around, I do suggest you check them out as it really can raise a “show” to an experience.

A North American vendor I have used before for DJ lasers is Z Laser Lights you can find them at http://www.zlaserlights.com/. They’re the cheapest pricing I’ve found and have lasers available of all colors (Red, Blue, Purple, Yellow & Green Lasers) and ranges from beginner to expert with videos and pictures for each so you know exactly what you're getting.
